The flat is suited within a conservation area in a dense urban context. Large, simple openings, that responded to the Victorian proportions in a modern way, were carefully integrated into the existing rear extension, framing views to the small garden beyond.
Internally the space is full of natural light, volume and texture. The materials were selected for the integrity, honesty and longevity. Concrete, black metal and fair-faced block-work make up a restrained palette.
